Whether you order a custom knife, product or take survival training from Extreme Instinct, you are not only making an investment with our 100% all-American made custom products, you are supporting a small, veteran owned family business. We take pride in our craftsmanship as custom knife makers and survival instructors and are the only two experts who are solely responsible for fulfilling your order or training - from start to finish. You read that right! Matt and Brooke personally handle each and every order.
Unlike mass produced manufactured or semi-custom knife makers, we don't outsource or allow anyone else to handle our orders during any part of the process to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality control over potential unforeseen defects. So you get our full attention to detail with everything we do! Your knife or survival training is in our hands every step of the way.
While we do our very best to recreate the knives featured on our website as ordered, each knife will vary slightly in shape, finish, color or size. This is the beauty of investing in a custom handmade knife - it will never be exact as the next one.
TURNAROUND & BUILDOUT TIME
Order time varies based on the complexity of the order and the availability of special materials. Our current buildout time on custom knives is roughly 3-4 months. As to be expected with an incredible handcrafted order, we often can't accommodate rushed requests. Due to high demand and the time in which you place your order, wait times can sometimes be longer. We do our best to complete orders sooner whenever humanly possible.
We kindly ask customers to please refrain from contacting us with "It's been 3 weeks, is my knife ready?" Please be realistic, patient and understanding. We are a small but mighty team working long days in our shop ensuring the highest quality knives - we promise it's worth the wait!

We will communicate with you when your order is expected to be completed or if we have any questions for you along the way.
If you're pressed for time for that special gift to you or someone else, get a custom without the wait and consider purchasing a knife from our Special Release inventory that we frequently have in stock. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3-4 days.
Special personalized engraving requests for images, logos or complex designs will also add more time to the completion of your knife order. Basic engraving with text of name, initials or a motto is complimentary. Typical laser engraving turnaround is 2-5 days.

Should you ever experience any issue with your knife - simply give us a call and we will take care of it. Arguably some of the toughest knives in the world, we consistently field test them and confidently know they are built to be Savage and "Made to Take A Beating" proudly used on every continent. As with any knife, it's always best practice to take care of your custom as you would with any gear you trust with your life. That said, subjecting a knife to unusual abuse or carelessness is never a guarantee for any knife steel or handle material. As such we may not be able to repair your blade or handle for reckless or unsuitable use to perform tasks for which it was never designed or intended.
